Application Scope of Nonwoven Fabrics (3)

2025-10-30

Agricultural and Horticultural Field: Boosting Production Efficiency

Nonwoven fabrics in the agricultural field mainly play roles such as heat preservation, moisture retention, insect prevention, and sunshade, replacing traditional plastic films (more environmentally friendly and degradable):
  • Seedling covering materials: Nonwoven fabrics are used to cover rice and vegetable seedlings. They can not only maintain soil moisture and temperature but also be breathable to avoid seedling root suffocation, while preventing birds from pecking at seeds.
  •
  • Crop protection materials: Insect-proof nonwoven fabrics (covered over crops to physically block pests such as aphids and whiteflies, reducing pesticide use), frost-proof nonwoven fabrics (covered over fruit trees and vegetables in winter to resist frost and protect crop buds), and sunshade nonwoven fabrics (covered in greenhouses in summer to lower the temperature inside the greenhouse and prevent crop sunburn).
  •
  • Horticultural auxiliary materials: Nonwoven fabric liners for flower pots (preventing soil loss while being breathable and permeable), base cloth for lawn laying (inhibiting weed growth and protecting lawn roots), and tree wrapping cloth (wrapped around tree trunks in winter to keep cold and frost away, while preventing pest and disease infestation).
